教学过程:

Step 1. Preparation

1.Let’s chant:

What’s your hobby?  What’s your hobby?

Diving, diving, I like diving.

Singing, singing, I like singing…

(设计意图:运用chant这种活泼的形式,既复习相关旧知识,又活跃课堂气氛。)

2. Free talk

T: Hello. What’s your name?

S1: My name’s ….

T: Nice to meet you.

S1: Nice to meet you, too.

T: Can you tell me something about you? Where do you live?

S1: I live in ….

T: What’s your hobby?

S1: I like reading books.

T: (转问同桌)What about you?

S2: I like playing computer games.

T: Oh, you don’t like the same thing.

(设计意图:利用chant和free talk帮助学生复习let’s learn 和let’talk相关的单词和句子,并引出文本中的难点句:Tell me something about you.和  You don’t like the same thing,为下面的阅读扫清语言障碍。)

Step 2. Pre-reading

老师拿出自己的笔友的照片和信展示给学生看并且介绍:This is Ben. He lives in Beijing. This is the letter she wrote to me. He is my pen pal.引导学生猜测pen pal的意思。

课件呈现Alice 和Ann的头像,T:Look at these two girls. They are my pen pals, too. 老师让学生观察第一封邮件的图片人物,然后通过描述这两个女孩的共同特征,引出 They look the same.They are twin sisters.然后,出示另两对双胞胎的照片,引导学生说They are twin sisters/brothers. They look the same.

(设计意图:通过老师介绍自己的笔友的特点及爱好,引入交友情景,为下面的阅读和最后的写作拓展创造情景,同时排除pen pal 和They look the same.They are twin sisters这些语言障碍,为阅读打好基础。)

Step 3. In-reading

(1)略读

第一遍阅读目的是让学生带着简单的问题阅读,并通过快速阅读理解语篇的大意,给与学生阅读的自信。

1. T:Look at the girls in the picture. What are their names? Do they like the same thing? Let's read the first e-mail quickly and find the answer.

(设计意图:本文文本量较长,有一定难度,设计时自然而然将两封邮件分成两部分进行阅读,先处理Alice给Liu Yun的邮件内容。阅读前老师描述人物图片,学生通过快速阅读找出简单信息。)

(2)细读

第二遍阅读目的是培养学生获取信息、处理信息的能力。解决语篇内的主要内容,可以通过让学生回答如wh-问题等有一定思维深度的问题检测学生理解程度。阅读时可以采用个人阅读与合作阅读相结合的方式。对于重点信息可圈点勾划。

T: Where do they live? What’s Alice’s hobby? What’s Ann’s hobby? 老师提示学生仔细读,并勾划出答案。做完后,同伴交流答案及依据。最后,老师核对答案。并由得出结论:They don’t like the same things.

(设计意图:此遍阅读旨在让学生仔细阅读,获取主要信息,即她们的爱好。阅读时注重培养学生圈画出重要信息,同桌互助检查答案,并培养学生根据上下文猜测词义的能力。)

3.在课件的邮件开头空白处点击出现To:和From及相应网址并介绍网址、邮件开头结尾的写法。运用课件将Alice写的邮件发送出去。Liu Yun has got the e-mail. This is the e-mail from Liu Yun to Alice.出示第二封邮件。

让学生快速阅读第二封邮件。回答问题:Where does Liu Yun live?

(设计意图:学生将在第一遍阅读时学到的技巧在第二篇阅读中练习使用。给出一个简单问题,让学生练习跳读,快速发现信息。)

4.第二遍阅读第二篇邮件。仔细阅读,回答问题:What is Liu Yun’s hobby? What is her mother’s hobby? What is her father’s hobby? 提示学生仔细读,并勾划出答案。做完后,小组交流,并说说怎么找到答案的。

(设计意图:让学生练习仔细阅读,并且交流如何发现答案。体现了《英语课程标准》所倡导的鼓励学生通过体验、实践、讨论、合作、探究等方式掌握语言技能、发展语言能力的理念。)

5.第三遍阅读目的是落实到写。阅读前可布置书上的填空题或教师设计的书面练习,可以是主句型的仿写练习也可以是教师设计情景学生替换填写句型还可以是学生自己创编新的替换句型。阅读时可以采用合作阅读的方式,体现合作互助。教师这时要对中等偏下的学生进行深入指导。

通读这两封邮件,完成短文。

Alice lives in________. Her pen pal is _______. Liu Yun lives in _________. Liu Yun’s mom is a _______. She likes swimming. Her dad is a ___ reporter. He likes listening to music. Liu Yun likes ____________ and ___________. 完成后,首先小组交流,然后全班交流。

(设计意图:把两封邮件内容有机结合起来,进一步强化对内容的整体理解。)

6.Listen and repeat.听录音跟读课文。

 (设计意图:让学生掌握正确的语音、语调,培养语感,加深对课文的进一步理解。)

Step 4 Post-reading 

T: We’ve read two e-mails and we’ve known something about Alice, Ann and Liu Yun. Do you want to make a pen pal with them?

Ss: Yes.

T: Now, let’s write an E-mail to one of them and tell something about you.

下面是某学生当堂课完成的邮件:

Dear Alice,

I’m happy to have a new pen pal. I live in Dongguan. I like drawing pictures and reading my bike. But I don’t like going shopping. I like winter. Because I like snow. My Mom likes going shopping, father likes playing sports.

Your new friend, Amy
