一、 学情分析: 通过两年的学习,学生们应该已经掌握了1597个单词(佟老师统计),和六个时态,第一模块又对这几个时态进行了复习,第二模块学习了新的语法现象,一般现在时的被动语态。我所教的学生当中50%的学生对于所学知识掌握比较好，但也有15%的学生的基础是比较差的，其中一个班的两极分化比较严重。
二、 本模块的重点、难点：1 学习一段有关篮球比赛的长对话和一篇介绍刘翔-----一位不仅令中国人也令整个亚洲人为之骄傲的体育方面的民族英雄的成长经历的文章。
2．学习并掌握一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态的构成和用法。
3．了解有关残奥会的一些情况。
4．完成模块任务---在班级内做一个有关运动的调查，（让学生选择一位自己最喜爱的运动明显，利用时间线索对课文进行仿写。）
三、本模块在这本书中的地位：承上启下，十分重要。
四、课时分配：5课时，Unit 1和 Unit 2各用两课时 Unit3用一课时。
Type of lesson :
教材分析 This unit is a good example for students to learn writing with the time line. It can help students to know more about our sport hero—Liu Xiang and inspire Ss to love and participate sports activities. And through the text learning new grammar items—Past simple passive and future simple passive can be felt and learned.
Teaching aims: 1. To understand the text about Liu Xiang involving past simple passive and future simple passive
2. To read for main ideas, completing a time line
3.To write a paragraph using and, although, and because
知识与能力: 1.To learn and master the following words and expressions :encourage, encourage somebody to do something, medal, record, set, set up, first of all, represent, advertisement, coach, regularly, race. (sportsman, overnight, yearbook, hurdle, hurdling, sportswomen)
2.To enable the Ss to understand the passage and use the new grammar items.
3. To be able to introduce one’s favourite sports star with time line.
过程与方法 : PWP approach
To improve the Ss reading skills and get them to read for main ideas. Try to find the topic sentences of each paragraph.
情感与态度：通过学习介绍成长刘翔的文章,崇拜心目中的民族英雄，增强民族自豪感，乐于参加体育运动,认真锻炼身体。
重点： now that=since, an overnight success(一夜成名), encourage somebody to do something, set up, compare with, go for(努力获取)=attempt to get
