I. Analysis of the Teaching Material
(一) STATUS AND FUNCTION
1. Module 5 Unit 1is the first period of this module. It aims at helping students to describe the future things or activities with “will”.
2. Such a topic is related to the leisure time ----- picking the fruit at the fruit farm, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students to improve their spoken English.
(二) ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTS
The students in Grade 3 have learned English for two years. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. They’ve learnt “be going to ” last term, and “will ” this term in Module 2---Module 4, so ,they can understand and grasp the using of “will” well. Because most of the students are citizen, they have no chance or experience to go to the fruit farm. The students must have taken a great interest in this unit.
(三)TEACHING AIMS AND DEMANDS
Based on the analysis above, according to the new curriculum standard, I set up the following three teaching aims for this unit.
The knowledge aim:
(1) To enable the students to learn and grasp the new words:
pick, peach, pear. And try to write the word peach.
(2) To enable the students to learn and grasp the key sentences:
We’ll pick fruit. Will we pick oranges? And try to answer correctly.
The ability aim:
(1) To enable the students to say out the right words according to the pictures.
(2) To talk about the activities which will happen in the future, with the main sentences of “We’ll….” “Will we…?”
The moral aim:
