Basic Skills Competition

Hello, everyone:

My name is Liu Han, I’m from the Center Primary School of Dongling Street

. I’ll talk about unit 3 Make a plan in students’ book 9 of Fun with English.

This is the structure of unit 3: Lesson 13, Lesson 14, Lesson 15, Lesson 16, Lesson 17, Lesson 18.

Curriculum Standards

The overall objective

According to the new curriculum standard, in Grade Five, I design the targets.

1、Ability to target

Be able to listen、say、read、write and use the “four skill” words to express their own plans;

Use the topics to express their own opinions and discuss the topics;

Use the knowledge to ask and communicate each other;

d.          Be able to sing one or two songs about the festivals.

2、Knowledge to target

a. Be able to listen、say、read、write、use the “four skill” words;

b. Be able to read、say、write、understand and talk the main sentences;

c. Be able to do some exercises about the dialogues.

Lesson 13       Objective

1、Be able to listen、say、read、write、use the words: village, sports thing, list;

2、Be able to understand and use the drills:

   What shall we do…? I think…

3、Train the pupils’ abilities of expressing their own opinions about the circumstances;

4、Educate the pupils to have a charitable heart and help each other.

Lesson 14      Objective

1、Be able to listen、say、read、write、use the words: celebrate, decorate, need, paper, under;

2、Be able to understand and use the drills:

     … is coming. How are we going to celebrate it？

3、Train the pupils’ abilities of expressing their own opinions about the circumstances;

4、Educate the pupils to have an enthusiastic heart. And help them understand some western knowledge about festivals.

Lesson 15      Objective

1、Be able to listen、say、read、write、use the words: have a rest, believe, useful，envy;

2、Be able to understand and use the drills:

   What’s your plan for the winter vacation?

3、Train the pupils’ abilities of expressing their own opinions about the circumstances;

4、Hope them to design their own plans about the winter vacation.

Lesson 16      Objective

1、Be able to listen、say、read、write、use the words: never, finish, work, cartoon;

2、Be able to understand and use the drills:

      First, …  Second, …  Third, …  Finally, …

3、Train the pupils’ abilities of expressing their own opinions about the circumstances;

4、Educate the pupils to train a good habit for planning everything.

Lesson 17      Objective

1、Be able to listen、say、read、write、use the words: sticker, trouble, law, notice board, station;

2、Be able to understand and use the drills:

   Do you have any ideas to stop it?

3、Train the pupils’ abilities of expressing their own opinions about the circumstances;

4、Educate the pupils to have a kind of consciousness of environmental protection.

Lesson 18      Objective

1、Be able to understand the contents about “Learn to say”;

2、Be able to talk and communicate with the drill “be going to”;

3、Train the pupils’ abilities of expressing their own opinions about the circumstances;

4、Direct the pupils to set up their own ideals and study hard for the ideals.

Textbook

1、The intention of teaching material

It intends to train the students’ abilities of pronouncing、expressing and communicating, makes them have a solid base to continue learning English.

In unit 3, “Make a plan” is the subject. It wants to make the pupils learn more words and sentences about the topic, and educate them to plan everything, even their own lives. Make the students be happy to help others, and they are able to understand some knowledge about the west.

A knowledge tree: The words are the main and useful points. The phrases are the cognitive and useful points. The sentences are the main, useful and extended points. The dialogues are the main, difficult and ability points. The grammars are the main, difficult and error-prone points.
