Purpose of my designing:
To present this part by showing pictures and real objects is much easier for the Ss to learn the new words ,the structure and grasp the meanings.
Step 3 . Consolidation
(8 minutes)
• Questions:
①.What are Jane and Maria talking about ?
②.What is Maria’s Chinese Tang costume made of?
③.What will they do after talking?
• Listen and answer,then imitate the dialogue.
• Act out their dialogues according to 1a and 1b.
Purpose of my designing: Let the Ss have a chance to practise their listening and spoken ability.
Step 4 . Practice(10 minutes)
First have a competition to finish 2. Choose the one who finishes first and does best. Then check up the answers by listening to the tape.
- Retell 3b and write the key words on the blackboard
Could you tell me …… \ over there \ What about …… \ Shoes & Hats Section \ on the first floor
Help them retell it by using the key words.
Purpose of my designing:
I think proper competition can arouse the Ss’ interests in English learning . And “Task-based” teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.
Step5 Project(7 minutes)
Suppose our classroom is a big shop. Then I’ll divide the whole class into 4 parts. Each part stands for a floor.
The first floor sells Shoes& Hats , the second floor sells Sportswear, the third one sells Women’s Wear and the fourth one sells Men’s Wear.
Some students act as the salesgirls, the others are customers.
Now let’s go shopping. You can choose sth to buy for yourself \ your parents \brother\sister…ect.
After arranging the tasks. Let them make similar dialogues and then act them out.
Step 6 Homework(3 minutes)
- Recite the new words as many as possible after class .
- Make a survey about sth in their daily life.

Purpose of my designing: I think homework is so important that the Ss should speak English as much as possible in or after class. It’s necessary for them to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learnt.
