Activity 1 → Read the passage.

          Give students a question before reading.

          Q: What does Li Ning’s advertising slogan say?                                              

Activity 2 → Search the answers for 3 questions.

Q1 :What did people call Li Ning and why ?

Q2 :How did the LiNing feel when he retired and why did he start a sportswear company?

Q3 :When did Li Ning open a school for gymnasts?

Activity 3 → Do activity 3.                                     

Task2: Have a discussion or do Activity 5.                                                                                                                   

Step 3   Homework                                                                           

Read “A Life in Sport” fluently, and finish activities 2, 5&6.

Share the song “Trouble is a Friend” with your friends, and tell me how you feel by E-mail.

四、教学过程及学法指导:                                                                         

1. 教学对象分析:                                                                              

学生已有一定的体育词汇基础,但这篇文章较长,有相当同学畏难,自信心不足,缺乏激情,参与意识弱,在用英语进行真实交际时困难仍然较大。                                                                                      

2. 教学方法、教学活动类型及课堂评价:                                                 

这节课以任务型教学方法为核心,运用个人、小组活动等方式进行教学活动。这个过程中主要是阅读任务,即通过系列阅读活动,帮助学生从文中获取信息,积累信息量。                              

这节课除我对学生的一些临时评价外,还有学生在小组活动中的自评、互评。

3. 学法指导:                                                                               

学法指导的目的就是最大限度的调动学生的主动性和积极性,激发学生的思维,帮助学生掌握学习方法,培养学习的学习能力,为学生发挥自己的聪明才智创造必要的条件,这节课教学中,我主要从以下几个方面进行指导:
