过程与方法:

Step1. Warm up.

1.     Check up

(1) T: Hi, everyone. Now let’s share your preview first, ok?

S: Yes.

T: What is “a chore”? (show the word card)

S1: The things that you have to do at home.

S2: 家务

T: Great. What chores do you know? Just say it in Chinese.

S1~~~~~~S2

T: Thanks. And who can say them in English?

S1~~~S3

(2) T: Thanks very much. You’ve done a nice preview before class. Well, let’s share your other preview------Read and Write. Who wants to read it for us?

   (show the dialog)

   S:  In America, many parents teach their children to help with chores. When children do chores, they feel they are part of the family, and they learn many skills. Doing chores helps children become responsible and feel good about themselves and helping others.

T: Thanks. You’ve done a nice preview! Who can tell us what is “part of the family?”

S:

T: Thanks. And do you know what is “responsible?”

S:

T: Thanks. A nice preview!  Do you do any chores at home?

S: Yes, I do.

T: Do you like doing chores?

S: No, I don’t.

T: Hehehehe, me too. But we have to do chores. ( show card)

 

Step2: The text.

Well, our new friend Charlie feels sad this morning, because he has to do chores.(show card). Now let’s find out what happens this morning.

The teacher writes the topic “Charlie’s chores.” on the board.

  Read the Unit topic together.

(1)The first time to read.

   T: Please care these questions before you watch TV

1.     What chores does Charlie have to do?

2.     What chores does Sue have to do?

3.     How about the other BINGO kids? What chores do they have to do?

4.     Is doing homework a chore? Why?

T: Ok,kids, Watch TV , and search them out..

   (Have the students watch TV , then have them check the questions.)

  T: What chores does Charlie have to do?

  S1: He has to walk the dog.        T: Yes!( write on the blackboard)

T:  And the other chores?

  S2:  He has to feed the dog everyday.    T: Good! ( write on the blackboard)

  T:  What other chores does Charlie have to do?

  S3:  He has to wash the dog once a week.        T: Well done! (write)

  T: Well, now let’s find the answers with your friends, ok? Group One, search the answers about Charlie, and No.2 for Daniel and No. 3 for Sue and No. 4 for Lisa and No. 5 for Matt and No. 6 for Ann. The last group for Ken. OK. Let’s go!

( Have the students discuss with their friends and then write the answers on the blackboard.)

 T: Well, let’s share our answers:

(Let the students read the sentences out)

4. Charlie has to help make breakfast.

5.     Charlie has to polish his shoes.

6.     Charlie has to wash the dishes.

 T: Thanks, how about Daniel? Do home work? Is doing homework a chore?

 S: No.

 T: Yes, do home work is not a chore. Then how about the other BINGO kids? Let 

   See:

 S:  7  Sue has to feed the fish. 

8        Lisa has to clean her room.

9        Lisa has to dust the furniture.

10   Matt has to go shopping with mom.

11   Matt has to cut the grass.

12   Ann has to make the bed.

13   Ken has to take out the trash.

(2)T: Let the students find the frequency.

T: Wow, the BINGO kids have to do so many chores. How often do they do these chores? Please watch again and find the answers.

( Let the students watch TV and check the answers)

T: Ok. Give your answers by finish the list.

T: Share your answers on the blackboard, please.

  T: Thanks. Now we’ve got the main points of this dialog on the blackboard.

  (3) Make mark for this dialog.

  T: Let’s read after the tape. Open your book and  mark the key structures according to chores and frequency. Red for the chores and green for the frequency, ready? Go.

 (  Let the students read after the tape and mark the main points)

 

Step 3. The retelling part.

T: Now let’s enjoy the retelling part now.

(let the students enjoy it)

T: What chores do you do? This is a homework for you today.

 

 Step 4 summary

 T: What did you learn today?

 Ss:

T: Thanks. Today we knew how to talk about chores.  How do you think about preview?

Ss:

T: Good! Very good! I like your opinion! Any other idea?

 

Step5 :Homework.

•     Listen and read the text, then try to read the retelling part.

•     Do P25-3
