Step 1  Leading in

Greeting : talk about something the Ss did last week .
eg. :What did you do last night?

Step 2  Learn some new words.
1.Let the students watch some pictures,and ask the question:

T:What’s this?
S:It’s a shark / seal /souvenir/gift.

2.Read the new words over and over again. Then ask some students to spell the new words.
Step 3  Pre-task 

Page 47 , 1a , 1c .
1.T: What did you do on your last school trip ?Make a list about them.

2.Look at the picture .Guess :What did Tina /Joe/Toby…do ?    
3.Ask the question:

T: Were there any sharks/seals/foxes/tigers… in the aquarium?
S: Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.

T: Did Tina buy a souvenir?
S: No, she didn’t.

4.Pairwork : Were there any sharks in the aquarium?
Did Tina buy a souvenir ?   No , … .

2.     Read and practice the conversation of 1b.
3.     Pairwork:  Act it out with the partner.

4.Page 48 , 2a , 2b .Play the recording and correct the answers.

Pairwork : Make conversations .

Ask several students to present their conversations .
Step 5  Conclusion

Grammar focus .Pay attention to “Were there any …”
Review the grammar box .Ss say the questions and answers .
