2、弃旧取新

弃旧取新即抛弃旧的，谋求新的。按照2009年考试大纲，它要求所有的考生掌握的词汇量应不少于2500个。虽然学生在高中学了这么多单词、句型，可许多学生在写作文总是喜欢用初中的单词、句型。这样就给人陈旧的感觉，没有新意，不能得到高分。所以学生在写作文时，应多用些高中所学的单词、句型。这样会让你的作文不拘于俗套。

比如： (1) We all think he is a great man.

 我们可用 We  all   think highly of him.

(2)It’s very dangerous for the students to go through the traffic.

我们可改成 Students are risking their lives when threading their way among cars.

(3)We don’t know what is happening both at home and abroad, and we don’t know what we can do for our country.

我们可写成 seldom do we know what is happening both at home and abroad, let alone what we can do for our country.(2009陕西卷)

3、 多实少虚

很多学生在写作时语言干瘪，内容空洞，喜欢写些不着实际的东西，空话连篇。这样就会给人一种太空洞的感觉。所以在写作是，考生应该多用一些实词，尽量少用虚词。这里所说的虚词是指那些比较大的词。比如我们说一个人很漂亮的时候，不应该就说beautiful 这样空洞的词，应该使用一些具体的词诸如：slim , good-looking, lovable, sweet, lovely, gentle之类的形容词。所以在作文中最好别用bad, good, think , nice，many ,people， important等这些虚词。
