因此要使一个平淡的文章变得丰富起来，提高书面表达的档次，应着力于恰当运用非谓语动词作状语、主从复合句、强调句、倒装句、省略句、感叹句、被动句、独立主格等，使之长短结合，以简洁生动为原则，充分体现考生驾驭和运用语言的能力，从而增强书面表达的效果。

6、 多变句式

因为句子是表达一个完整意思的最小单位，所以造句能力在英语作文中是非常重要的。好的句子结构能够主动、准确、形象地表达内容。所以在作文中，学生应该尽量使用各种各样的句式。那怎么让学生写出简单的又不会出错的句子，并且使你的英语作文文采飞扬呢？

1）串联

每个考生都希望写下很长的句子，能像个老外写出来似的，可就是怕写错，怎么办，最保险的写长句的方法就是任何句子之间加and, 但是前后的句子要有先后关系或者并列关系。这样还能避免句子冗长累赘，松散无力，使句子凝练，层次清晰。比如说：

I enjoy music and he is fond of playing guitar.

The flat is in a building on Fangcao Street.It is not far from JianXin Chinese school.

可写成：The flat is in a building on Fangcao Street , and it is not far from JianXine Chinese school.(2003浙江卷)

Our outdoor activity will last 3 hours, and we will be back at about 11 o’clock.(2009福建卷)

Ten days later, then it didn’t ring and send short messages, then I took it to the seller , but was told that the model had been sold out and I had to wait at least three months for a new one.(2008湖北卷)

如果是二者并列的，我们还可以用其他的句式：

Not only the fur coat is soft, but it is also warm.

Qianmen Street is a pedestrian street, but there are trolley cars to take you not only to the shops, but also to the theaters and teahouses where you can experience a truly Chinese way of life.(2009全国卷二)
