【教学内容】
这是广州市小学英语六年级上册Module 3 Famous People的第一课时Unit7 The best and
the most justify,是在网络教学环境下的一节英语课。本模块的话题是“Famous People名人”。本单元计划用五个课时完成,其中U7Dr Sun Yatsen?Unit 8 Robin Hood各用两个课时,而 U9 Let’s go further用一个课时完成。其中,需“四会”掌握的词汇有:Dr, be born, modern, go on, leader, free, finally;“三会”掌握的词汇有:historical, against, emperor, memorial, hall, memorial hall 。句子包括描述伟人出生及事迹的用语,如:Where was he born? He was born in… He was the father of modern China. He tried to change China and free the people.等等。
通过学习,学生能结合相片、提供的图片或key languages进行俩俩说;学生能利用网络资源进行自主学习;学生通过掌握课标内容,能结合所学的语言知识和生活实际进行交流;学生在老师创设的各种学习活动和情景下,能自然地在进行听、说、读和写的训练。学生通过自主听读短文和拓展阅读自主学习,联系生活和时事,把本课需掌握的新知识、“2011年十大感动人物”的事例出现的拓展知识与以前学习过的旧知识三者进行有机结合,进而扩大视野和知识面,丰富语言表达,更深刻理解“至善至正”的精神,为接下来的任务——用英语介绍“The best and the most justify person”作准备。同时,结合这些人物,激发学生的情感,学习这些人物良好的思想品德和道德情操;秉承我校校训“至善至正”的精神,帮助孩子们确定未来的努力方向,鼓励孩子们立志为未来而认真学习、努力奋斗和做一个对社会有用的人的思想情感。
【设计理念】
本课以《信息时代的教育创新——网络环境下的基础教育跨越式发展创新试验研究的目标与内容》为指导思想,其中,“儿童思维发展新论”提到: “以语言应用为中心”是儿童快速学习语言的根本途径与方法。无师自通地熟练掌握本民族的口头语言,除了人类具有天生的言语中枢这一遗传因素以外,还因为儿童是在与人交际和沟通的过程中,即在语言的应用过程中学习语言。这对我们教学的启示就是千万不要脱离开语境去孤立地记单词、背句型;而不能用“语法分析为中心”的方法去教语言和学语言。儿童学习语言的过程和学习的方法是以“语言应用为中心”的,学习为了应用,学了就立即用,而且力图在一定的语境中去用。
【教学目标】
1.课标目标:
(1)能 “四会”掌握对话中的词汇:Dr, be born, modern, go on, leader, free, finally。
(2)能“三会”掌握对话中的词汇:historical, against, emperor, memorial, hall, memorial hall 。
(3)能四会掌握以下重点句子:
       Why was he so important?
       Where was he born?    He was born in …
       He was the father of modern China.
       He was against the emperor.
       He tried to change China and free the people.
       He loved the people and the people loved him.
2.能力拓展目标:
(1)能读懂相关知识和相当程度的短文,在教师的适当引导下,结合短文的内容,加大知识的输入量,增加学生的词汇量,培养学生的创造思维能力、语言组织和运用能力,提高学生的综合素质。此外,能更进一步深刻了解我校校训“至善至正”的精髓。
(2)能利用网络资源开展自主学习的能力;能利用部分认知工具的软件开展自我创作。
(3)能通过资料收集或课外知识的积累,结合和联系所学知识,继续积累只是,扩大学习知识范围。
【学情分析】
1.学生能根据音标自学单词。
2.学生已掌握部分有关描述人的用语。
3.学生能运用一般过去时的句型描述过去发生的事情。
4.学生能就“过去与现在”的话题进行简单的问答与交流。
5.学生能在老师的引导下,自主地进行听读和学习,不同程度地掌握语言知识或拓展语言。
【教学策略】
1.借助chants和rhymes让学生感受英语的韵律并回忆已学句型。
2.借助黑猫警长,引起学生的兴趣和感知,回忆有关描述人的知识。
3.借助相片或图片进行描述人的表达或交流,加深学生对语言的理解、记忆与运用。
4.在教师适时适量的引导下,开展师生说、俩俩说、自主说等活动训练和培养学生的语言运用能力。
    5.在网络环境下合理利用资源,引导学生自主听读、理解相关资源,进行自我检查和评价,培养自主学习的能力;合理利用认知工具的部分软件,提高孩子的自我创造能力。
    6.利用多种形式的激励方式激励学生的学习积极性,提高学习效益。

【教学过程】

  1. Warming-up and revision: (5minutes):歌谣热身,复习旧知

1. Songs& chant:  通过歌曲进行热身,边做动作边唱歌,为下面的学习做好准备
2. Revision:
(1) 情景创设,介绍主人公: Boys and girls, today we have a special guest. Let’s welcome  (听《黑猫警长》的主题曲,吸引学生的注意力,然后呈现黑猫警长的图像)
Mr Black came here today. He saw many photos. Can you tell them who they are.
老师先做demo, 然后学生俩俩说

过渡语 TT: Today, Mr. Black came here to do something very important. He will learn “Unit 7” with us and he wants to find the best and the most justify person. Can we help him?
 First, he wants to introduce someone famous to us.
(2) 以黑猫警长跟同学们一起学习“至善至正”并寻找“至善至正的人”为主线,呈现第一个伟大人物——孙中山的幼儿相。

老师通过介绍主人翁——黑猫警长的出现,吸引学生的兴趣;同时作为示范作用,有意识地引导学生结合话题复习以前学过的旧知识,进行交流;学生自己结合本班孩子的幼儿和现在的相片,激发学生开口说的欲望,围绕描述人的话题进行语言练习,为接下来的语言学习和运用做好铺垫。接着,以黑猫警长跟同学们一起学习“至善至正”并寻找“至善至正的人”为主线,设置情景呈现孙中山幼儿时的相片。

  

 


  1. Presentation(15minutes):情景导入,新知学习

1.Let’s learn—Enjoy the film: 通过《辛亥革命》里孙中山自己的介绍,呈现本课的主要人物和主要内容,并紧紧吸引学生的注意力和学习的兴趣。

                        What did …?          He was a doctor.
                        What did he want to do?  He wanted to change China.
                   
2. Watch the vedio of our text, know more about Dr Sun Yatsen

通过影片,吸引学生的注意力,并让学生了解孙中山的为人和崇高理想,同时呈现本课的知识重点,如:be born, change China, free the people, the father of modern China,
a great leader, be against the emperor,etc.

   It was in the afternoon of July 2nd,2011. It was happened in BaiJin HaiAn Community of HongZhou(杭州宾江白金海岸小区)A two-year old girl crawled into the window-seat on the tenth floor when grandma
didn’t noticed her.
And she was hung up by windowsill when she might fall at any moment. The neighbours were shocked by the this scenes. The girl held a little whilebut she still dropped. At that timeWujupingwho was walking by wearing heels, rushed towards to catch the little girl. After thatshe was sent to the hospital and her left arm was diagnosed with comminuted fracture where the Radius severed into three piecesAnd it would take six months to fully recover.
After ten days, the little girl woke and said “mum and dad”.”It is an instinct. And that is what a mother should do.”said WuJuping who lied in bed and looked calm. When this happenedher child who was only eight months. “I want to be the guy to have a clear conscience.(问心无愧) In returnthe company rewarded her 20 thousand and she accepted it because she thought “I need to work hard to live easily and I am able to help others”.
WuJuping went back to work after the Spring Festival. She hopes that her child and the girl who she saved will grow up healthily.
When danger comes, she comes forward and catch the life. She supports the traditional virtue “ Expand the love of the young ones in one's family to that of other families”(幼吾幼及人之幼). She is not taller and bigger than us, but at that time, she makes us look up to her.

Reading 2 :             A The doctor of liver and gall-- Wu Mengchao
肝胆春秋——吴孟超
In Chinese medical world, liver medicine went completely blank for a long time. In the 1950s, Wu Mengchao, graduated from Tongji Medical College, engaged in liver researching. He made the first liver anatomy specimens with his colleagues, and put forward the liver anatomy theory “five leaves, four sections”. On March 1st. 1960, he completed the first surgical resection of liver cancer.
With a herculean effort for nearly half a century, Wu promoted the starting and development of Chinese liver medicine. Oriental hepatobiliary surgery hospital, founded in 1999, accepted and cured over ten thousands of patients every year, and performed 4000 operations each year. After five years of operating, the survival rate could improve from 16% in the 1960s to today’s 53%.
He stuck in the first line when he was 90 years old. Statistics showed that Wu has made 14000 liver surgeries, and completed 9300 hepatic resections. Among them, the success rate reached 98.5%. In Jan.2006, he won State Pre-eminent Science and Technology Award(国家最高科学技术奖).
As the director of the hospital, Wu was not only busy in hospital affairs, but also often went out to preside over academic conferences. Even so, he still insisted on coming out every Tuesday morning. If he missed for on a business trip, he would work by turns.
People said : He is an inexhaustible old horse, helping every patient to ferry across the river.  
Reading 3 :               A Couple with Great Morality--Hu Zhong and Xie Xiaojun
高义薄云—胡忠、谢晓君夫妇
Before 2000, Hu Zhong and his wife Xie Xiaojun are both the teacher of Chengdu Middle School. One day, when Hu Zhong read the news—It’s said that in Tagong Village,Kangding Township of Ganzi Autonomous Prefecture(甘孜州康定县塔公乡), they need some teachers. Then, Mr Hu left his wife and his daughter who was just born and became a teacher there.
When he just came here, he got only over 300 yuan in living allowance from the work. The school, altitude 3800m, provides boarding and teaching for 143 orphans from four ethnic groups in the 13 counties in Ganzi. Besides teaching, Mr. Hu turns on the radio for waking up and doing morning exercise around 5 o'clock every morning. He took care of every child; when he hears of an orphan, he will fetches him. As time goes by, he is called "Bodhisattva teacher"(菩萨老师) by the locals.
    After three years, Mr Hu’s wife--Xie Xiaojun came here to be a teacher, too, with their daughter who was just three years old. In 2006, Xie Xiaojun was transferred to a more remote school-- Muyazuqing where was in a harder conditions. She moved her job relation to Kangding(康定县) County, and promised to "stay here for her all life".

   In a word, They take their little child for more children. They left their aged parents to be the best parents. They are not heartless but passionate, They are not impulsive but regretless. They are the twin snow lotuses in full bloom on the plateau.
Reading 4 :           Daughters Alone—ordinary girl Meng Peijie
孝女当家——平凡女孩孟佩杰
The fate of the Meng Peijie is very cruel, but she returns to the world with a smile. When she was five years old, her father experienced an accident and died. And her mother had to let someone else adopt Meng Peijie, and soon died of illness. In the new family, Meng Peijie lived a poor life, Liu Fangying who was her adoptive mother had paralyzed in bed for three years ,the adoptive father didn't bear the pressure of life and walked away. So desperately, Liu Fangying attempted to commit suicide, but she was found by Meng Peijie ,when hiding more than 40 tablets of painkillers under the pillow."Mom,you can not die ,you are my hope ."
Since then, they had each other, the only source of income rely on Liu Fangying's meager subsistence allowances .When other children are enjoying the life, Meng Peijie who was 8 years old g, had to buy food and cooked for her mother all by herself after coming from school .Being a student, Meng Peijie always was in a hurry. She had to get up at six every morning. She helped her mother dress up, wash her clothes, change diapers and feed mother breakfast, and then she went to school. Coming from school at noon, she started to help her mother with cooking, dressing, massage, washing sheets and so on. Sometimes if it was too late to eat dinner, she took a cold bun rushing to school.
"Daughters is characterized by filial piety, love and patience. " Liufang Ying said, if there is an afterlife, she wants to compensate "I just do what each daughter will do."said her. Many good-hearted people wanted to help Mengpei Jie , She refused and insisted taking care of the mother alone. She said she wanted to be a teacher after she graduated. And she could live in a happy life with her mother.
[Presentation speech] in poverty, she was hard working--keeping optimistic, cheerful, and driving away the unhappy with youthful vigor. In difficult, she regrets that adhere to the poor, the tradition of filial piety is full of every detail. Although she was hard to fill more than four thousand days, but her smile is still bright flowery
Reading 5 :        Invisible wings—Paralympic champion Liu Wei
隐形翅膀——残奥冠军刘伟
Being professional football player was Liu Wei’s dream. When was 10 years old, he lost his arms because of the electric shock accident, and deprived the right to run in the field. Because of this , his study was delayed. Two years later, his mom wanted him to repeat a year of the same grade, he said no. With the help of his tutor, he was successful,and got into the top three in the class.
Since he loved sports so much, he switched to swimming although he couldn’t be a football player. At his 12 years old, he became a member of the Beijing Disabled Persons Swimming Team. Two years later, he won two gold and one silver at the National Disabled Swimming Championships. "I will get a gold medal at the 2008 Paralympic Games. "Liu Wei promised with her mother . Unexpected , excessive physical exertion had led to decreased immunity, he suffered from allergic purpura. The doctor warned, he must stop training or life-threatening. In desperation, Liu Wei had to give swimming up, and walked into the world of music and brought him success later.
The hardships of practicing are beyond the imagination of ordinary people. Because his big toe is wider than the keys, Liu Wei just figured out a set of method to play the piano with his feet . He should practice for 7 to 8 hours a day, he turned out to be body aches, feet cramps, and toe bleeding. Three years later, his piano has reached the level of professional seven.
"I only have two choices, either quickly died or wonderful to be alive." On the stage of "Chinese People Showing up" , he played a "Dream Wedding", all of the audiences became quiet, only to hear the beautiful melodies. At he end of the piece, the applause of his audiences, he is worthy of brave man . Last year, Liu boarded the Golden Hall in Vienna.
[Presentation speech] when the rope of fate inexorably tied his arms,when the eyes of others sigh sorrow of life, he still stubbornly dream of wings, with both feet on the keyboard, wrote: believe in yourself. The section of light melody, it was his effort to fly the trajectory.
