Following old photos: being made according to old photos, 是现在分词充当状语,又如:
Finding that her mother had left her alone, the little girl was very disappointed.

Homework:
Get ready for a dictation;
Try to find some attributive clauses with who/ which/ where/ when/ that etc. in the reading passage.
Period 3 Grammar—Restrictive attributive clause and Non-restrictive attributive clause
Teaching aims:
The attributive clauses with that/ which/ who/ where/ when.
Focus:
Enable Ss to know how to use the relatives that/ which/ who/ where/ when properly.
Teaching steps:
Step 1: Dictation
10 words and expressions taken from the text
Step 2: Grammar
T introduces a sentence taken from the reading passage:
This gift was the Amber Room, which was given this name because almost seven thousand tons of amber were used to make it.
T lets Ss find out more similar attributive clauses from Warming up, Pre-reading and Reading, and then asks some Ss to explain them.
T explains the rules of Restrictive and Non-restrictive clauses(见教材P85-86).
