Step IV  Writing
After students have the idea, ask them to pay attention to the writing skills. They may discuss in groups and then write individually. Students are given fifteen minutes to finish it. 15 minutes later ask some to show their writing on the projector. At the end of the class students should hand in.
T: Ok. After you’ve decided the record attempt, what shall you do next?
Ss: Contact the Guinness Book of world Record.
T: Yes we will contact the Guinness Book of world Record. We have to fill in the form on Page 8. Please pay attention to the detailed description of the record attempt. In this unit we have learned two texts, both of which are expository writing from description. While writing your description, you may refer to the text. First you may discuss in groups and after the discussion you are required to write it in your exercise books. You are given 15 minutes and 15 minutes later I will ask some of you to show your writing on the projector. Remember all of you will hand in your writing at the end of the class.
Step VI  Presentation
Ask some students to show their writing on the projector and help them to correct the possible mistakes.
Step VII  Homework   Finish the writing exercise in their exercise books and get prepared to talk about one’s hobbies.

Step I   Leading in
Ask students to talk about their hobbies.
T: Good morning afternoon, class!
Ss: Good morning afternoon, Mr./Ms…
T: Look at these!
Ss: So many pictures of different matchboxes.
T: This is my collection. I spend much of my spare time on it.
Ss: They are of different sizes and colors. There are pictures on matchboxes, too.
T: I experience a lot of pleasure in collecting them. I can also learn a lot. Collecting matchboxes is my hobby. S1, what is your hobby?
S1: I like collecting firelighters.
S2: I like to collect car models. And I have collected hundreds of car models.
S3: I like collecting stamps. This is my collection of stamps. If you are interested, you may have a look after class.
S4: I like collecting coins.

T: In this class we are going to learn an article on collecting stamps and coins.
Step II   Skimming
Ask students to read the text quickly and do the post reading exercises.
T: Read the text quickly and then fill in the forms. You may work in groups. You are given 8 minutes to finish the task.
Show the following forms on the PowerPoint.
1.The steps to collect a stamp:

Carefully cut out the stamp

Place the wet stamp between two clean sheets of paper and put some books on top.

2.Dos and Don’ts about coins

Dos & Don’ts
Wear gloves when holding a valuable coin. 
Wipe the coins with a clean cloth. 
Never use any strong or dangerous chemicals.

8 minutes later check the answers with the whole class. Show the following to the class.
1. The steps to collect a stamp:

When you get a letter with a stamp on it, carefully cut out the stamp
Leave lots of room around the stamp so that you will not damage it.
Put the stamp in water.
Place it on a clean sheet of paer to dry.
Carefully lift the stamp off the paper. 
Wait until the water has dissolvee the glue.
Place the wet stamp between two clean sheets of paper and put some books on top.
2. Dos and Don’ts about coins
Dos
Wear gloves when holding a valuable coin.
Clean ordinary copper coins with vegetable oil  and silver ones with common soap.
Wipe the coins with a clean cloth.
Don’ts
Never touch the face or back of a coin.
Never clean an old coin.
Never use any strong or dangerous chemicals.

Step III   Careful reading
Ask students to read the text again and then deal with the questions on Page151-152.After the group discussion, show the following on the PowerPoint.
