从自选模块题型谈学生英语读写能力的提高 高中获奖英语论文
以Module7 Unit4为例,上完了阅读后,我让几个英语基础不错的学生合作编写完形填空和改错练习。以下是一学生根据课文内容改写的一自选模块题型。

在补充课文阅读中,我也会让同学编写或自己编写模块题型让他们进一步巩固阅读材料。比如三八妇女节这天我让学生欣赏了一篇来自SHANGHAI STUDENTS’ POST的歌颂母爱的文章scars of love后,我把全文改成了自选模块05题题型。
Some years ago on a hot summer day in south Florida, a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole that was behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went.
He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator (美洲鳄鱼) was swimming toward the shore. His mother in the house was looking out the window saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, she ran toward the water, yelling to her son as loudly as she could. ① It was too late. Just as he reached her, the alligator reached him. From the dock, the mother grabbed her little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. ② The alligator was much stronger than the mother, but the mother was much too passionate to let go. A farmer happened to drive by, heard her screams, raced from his truck, took aim, and shot the alligator.
Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. __③ And, on his arms were deep scratches where his mother's fingernails dug into his flesh in her effort to hang on to the son she loved.
The newspaper reporter, who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked the boy if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And, then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, “But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Mom wouldn't let go.”
We have scars, too. Not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. __④ We foolishly get into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That is when the tug-of-war begins. 2.以练促写,开展多种多样的读写练习。
英语中的听说读写是紧密地联系在一起的。扎实的基本功是英语科成绩得高分的关键。在常规的教学中,在高三的复习课中,我采取了多种形式的写的练习。
(1)听写与默写练习
高三第一阶段的听写我是按照模块来的,我让学生听写模块1到模块7中所有的重点单词和短语
及含有重要语法内容的好句。或让学生限时默写一段或几段课文。第二阶段的听写是根据考试说明中词汇表来的,词汇表中的高考词汇一个都不放过地对学生进行听写和识记。而好段落的默写既可以提高他们早晚读的效率,又对他们的书面表达又很大的帮助。
(2)段落练写
每复习完一单元后,除了让学生改写完形填空,改错和自选模块题型外,我会抽取其中的几个
key words 让学生写一个片段来巩固已学的知识。学生输出的片段虽然错误百出,但写的能力不知不觉中得到了锻炼。
(3)句型转换练习
在复习中,部分学生发现一些词汇,句型及语法知识点,通过死记硬背很难记住。单纯的听写和默写效果也不是很明显,通过具体语境当中的句型转换练习,能帮助学生构建新旧知识间的联系,更好地记忆并对其加以运用。如,在练习It is time that 句型的使用时,可设计这样一道题:
A; It is time for him to begin to think what to do with the money.
B: It is time ___ ____ ____ ___think what to do with the money.
(answers: that he began to)通过这两个句子,学生就很容易地记住了这两个短语之间的关联。
(4) 翻译及作文练习
学生头脑中积累了一定的词汇和句型后,适当的中英文互译练习和作文训练可以更好地将读的能力转换成写的能力。通过英汉互译,学生能轻松地记忆文中出现的好的短语和句型结构。作文批改方式变传统的老师批改为学生自改或互改。改作过程中的讨论和批改加深了学生对语言结构的认识与了解,而且也提高了语言表达能力。
综上所述,高考自选模块新题型的出现,给我们敲响了警钟。教师要让学生始终把握“词不离句,句不离篇“的语言学习规则,强化语篇意识,大量阅读各类语篇,在特定的语境中,通过分析语言材料的主旨大意。语段连接,上下文逻辑关系等来理解和把握语言材料所要表达的思想和情感,逐步培养和增强自己的英语语感,更好地适应高考新课改。
