Summary and Homework :

1.       As we all know, almost everyone has five senses, which are used everywhere and all the time . We learn about the world through the five senses . We use the five senses to study , work and relax.

2.       After class review the reading part ?

Periods 4-6 Reading Fog

Aims : Get the general idea of the passage and develop the students reading ability by learn the reading strategy.

Step 1. Revision

A dictation of the new words.

Step 2. Lead-in

Talk about the weather . Ask the students the following questions:

What’s the weather usually like in spring/summer/autumn/winter in Taixing?

Which season do you think is the best ? Why ?

Do we sometimes have foggy days ?

What would you do if you get lost on such a day ?

In Welcome to the unit, we talked about five senses. What senses do you think we can use on a foggy day ?

Step 3. Listen to the tape and try to answer the questions in Part A on page 2.

Step 4. Read the passage and do Parts C1 and C2 on page 4.

Step 5. Read again and find the supporting details for each part.
