Your forever friend lifts you up in spirits

and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full.

Your forever friend gets you through the hard times,

the sad times, and the confused times.

If you turn and walk away,

Your forever friend follows.

If you lose your way,

Your forever friend guides you and cheers you on.

Your forever friend holds your hand

and tells you that everything is going to be okay,

and if you find such a friend ,

you feel happy and complete.

because you needn't worry,

you have a forever friend for life,

and forever has no end.

[设计说明]: 在做过口语练习之后,我们可以思考一些更深的问题。对于我们来说,朋友到底意味着什么呢?这首诗歌从网上意外获得,不但有非常优美的朗诵可以下载,还有动听的配乐。诗歌内容贴合课文的需要,在鉴赏的同时学生可以获得很多感触。让学生在听的同时,记住自己觉得最棒的句子,讲讲理由。学生们会选择各种各样的句子,大部分原因是因为他们愿意和这样的人做朋友。
