Step1. Review the last lesson and lead in the new one. Review the months and learn the ordinal numbers.　　

Ask the students to ask and answer in pairs: 　　

1.      Which is the first / second / third…/ twelfth month?　　

2.    How do you spell it?　　

3.     What season is it in?　　

Step2. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions:　　

1.      What’s this?　　

2.    Who is the first?　　

3.     Who is the second?　　

4.    Who is the third? 　　

Step3. Listen to the tape and check the answers. Then let the students read after it for several until they can read it correctly and fluently. 　　

Step4. Practice　　

Let the students ask and answer in pairs. They can ask many questions about the students. Begin like this if they like:　　

1. Who is the first in our row?　　

2.Who is the second in the math exam, do you know?　　

3.What is the third season in a year?　　

4.who sits at the ninth desk?　　

Step5. Listen to the second part and answer the following questions:　　

1.      What’s the date?　　

2.    What was the date yesterday?　　

3.     What is the date tomorrow?　　

Step6. Read the text and check the answers. Then read after it for several times. 　　

Step7. Read the dialogue in roles. Then let some students act it out in front of the class.

Ask the students to work in pairs to finish the tasks. One student writes a date on a piece of paper. The other says it in English. Then arrange a dialogue. The content contains:
