高中英语课文的整体教学探索——以“We've already met, haven't we?”为例,谈英语课文的整体教学
1. 课文的内容是一个整体
课文整体教学强调信息的整体输入。要求从阅读整篇文章入手逐步加深对课文内容的理解,并结合课文学习和运用语言结构,做到内容与形式的统一,而以内容为主体。
2. 课文句、段中的语音、词汇、语法等是一个整体
它是听,说,读,写的综合材料。因此要求作为一个整体来教,在对学生进行综合训练时,做到知识与能力的统一,突出能力的培养。
3. 英语教学过程也是一个整体
英语教学过程包括教、学、用三个方面。课文整体教学强调这三者的统一。教与学是矛盾的,但又是统一的,要求统一在“用”字上。“用”是课文整体教学的关键,是检验教与学成败的依据。
二、“课文整体教学”的尝试
(一)注意课文导入——用英语介绍课文内容
把课文作为整体来教,首先要求先把学生的注意力引导到整体内容上,激发学生学习兴趣,创造传授知识和进行技能训练的语言环境,吸引学生进入交际角色,使课文教学成为教师、教材、学生互相作用的积极过程。以高一下册第20单元的“Intergrating Skills”中的课文“We've already met, haven't we?”为例,本人用英语介绍课文内容来导入教学。
One day, a woman was on the way to her interview when a car suddenly cut in just in front of her. She had to brake so hard that she hit another cyclist, and both of them fell down. Luckily, neither of them was hurt, but the woman was extremely angry. When she saw the car was waiting at the red light, she then cycled as fast as she could and went up to scold the driver angrily.
Fortunately, the woman was on time for the interview. However, to her great surprise, it was the driver, the manager of the company, who would interview her. What would the woman do with this situation? Did she get the job at last? Please find the answers in the text.
设计说明:这是本节课设计的第一个任务——信息的输入,听材料。用英语介绍课文内容,使学生对课文有一个初步的整体印象。首先学生合上书本,专心听教师讲述。教师在讲述中尽量用学生学过的词汇,语法,句型。用简单的句子以旧带新,语言力求生动活泼,以吸引学生的注意力,帮助他们理解内容,激发他们的学习兴趣。板书(10重要的短语、词组或句式:be on the way to ... when ...,so ... that ...,as fast as one can ...,to one's great surprise,it is ... that(who) ... ;(
